Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.FIS is looking for experienced and motivated Application Migration Architect who possess a unique balance of application migration experience, strong interpersonal skills, and business acumen to conduct application discovery sessions that will lead to building a scalable playbook for large-scale migrations to the FIS' Hybrid-Cloud platform.About the team:The Data Center Services (DCS) Architecture team is made up of multi-disciplinary IT Architects who are primarily responsible for migrating new client on-premise environments into the FIS Hosted Data Centers. Additionally, the team provides consultative architecture and design services to our Hosted and Managed IT clients.What you will be doing:In this role you will partner with FIS Project teams to collaborate with customer application and infrastructure SME teams and Service Delivery Teams to deliver applications into the FIS environment by defining and delivering application portfolio assessments and migration plans. Candidate must possess experience leveraging formal project management and development methodologies on enterprise level engagements and a deep knowledge of project management best practices and how to apply them in a pragmatic way across large, complex projects. The successful candidate must have:

  • Understanding of technology principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms and consumer facing technology
  • Hands-on experience leading application discovery sessions and development of current state and target state diagrams
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, be able to build and improve systems and processes
  • Ability to make decisions guided by policies, procedures and migration playbook with limited guidance
  • Have demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical teams
  • Take Ownership of the entire customer migration journey and actively looks for ways to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Deliver successful migration projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders internal and external
What you will need:
  • 10 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations
  • Require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices
  • Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
  • Experience with VMWare enterprise implementations
  • Knowledge of technology platform types like Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco Nexus, Cisco 9K, Cisco ASA and ACI fabric technologies
  • Deep understanding of Routing & Switching (BGP, VRF, Nexus OS)
  • Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler's and F5 LTM Load Balancers
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
  • You can work independently and as part of a team
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts
Added bonus if you have:
  • Experience as a team lead preferred
  • Experience with Zerto replication software
  • Experience utilizing Azure Migrate Tool
