What you'll be doing :
- Under general supervision, implement interface with field and service engineering management, manpower, and systems projects designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues, and improve customer service.
- Work with engineers and cross functional partners to identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement network-wide process improvement opportunities in Delivery Operations.
- Prepare and monitor long-term plans regarding expansion, procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products relative to Transportation.
- Provide technical training to field personnel in on-the-job training sessions in such areas as operations to include contingency planning, productivity, cost effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
- Monitor productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of delivery center operations and assists personnel in implementing required changes.
- Maintain communications between the operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise, planning, cost validation.
- Assist in studies designed to implement sound and innovative service engineering concepts into the delivery operations and produce benefits for Staples and our customers.
- Strong analytical skills along with accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to influence without authority
- Experience with MOST predetermined motion time system or other work standard development tools
- Experience implementing labor forecasting tools and staffing plans
- Knowledge of Computer Systems/Programming
- Ability to travel up 50%
- 7+ years professional experience in related field (Industrial Engineering with emphasis on small package delivery and product sortation)
- Experience with project management and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (or other quantitative discipline) or equivalent work experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
