Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience

- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent, plus extensive experience in the management of construction projects.

- Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and Company operations, philosophy, and mission statement Knowledge of customer service, employee relations, construction contracts law, and marketing. Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) and analytical skills.

- 2-5 years of Construction Experience

- Has some experience establishing budgets and direct bidding of projects.

- Able to manage a project up to $5 million or more in contract value.

Most Difficult Part of this Job:

- Maintaining the focus on improvement, teamwork, while motivating self, subordinates, carpenters, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve the level of quality and performance required to meet project goals.

Typical Duties:

- Oversee the total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed by following design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with Client, Architect, Engineers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Unions, and other agencies to facilitate construction activities.

- Ensure all Company, Client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to. Interpret policies as required with the guidance of the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager.

- Implement direction for planning, scheduling, safety, change orders, and project management functions, as required.

- Fully understand Company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.

- Able to direct and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall project profit and growth objectives.
