Kind and Competent Live-In Caregiver (Houston)

Seeking a caregiver to provide excellent care for a male who was left partially paralyzed by a stroke. The caregiver will need to be tall enough and strong enough to handle transfersfrom wheelchair to commode to bed, etc., and will be responsible for helping him with all activities of daily living as well as serving as an intellectual companion/personal assistant to the patient who is a former school principal.

Enjoy working with an elderly patient

Be able to transfer a patient who is 5’8’’ and weighs 140 lbs.

Be blessed with good energy

Be pleasant, upbeat and compassionate

Be loyal and reliable

Be a non-smoker

Live at the house as a live-in (without shift changes during the pandemic)

Have either experience or have a strong desire to be trained to work with elderly and/or

disabled individuals

Be interested in long-term service

Be capable of focusing on the patient and isn’t distracted by the cell phone

Be relatively drama free and enjoy peacefulness

Be able to function quietly in someone else's home and be a good fit
