Your RoleThe People Analytics and Reporting (PAR) team operates within a team of talent and organization development experts and leaders informing the development and driving execution of our reporting and analytics, talent assessments, processes and enabling data-driven decisions across the entire employee life cycle. The Product Owner - People Analytics and Reporting will report to the Sr. Manager - People Analytics and Reporting. In this role you will actively partner with People and Engagement and business leaders to ensure the People Analytics and Reporting team's backlog is up to date, prioritized and communicated to our stakeholders. In addition, you'll partner with the Senior manager to define the short-term and long-term product roadmap.

Your WorkIn this role, you will:
  • Ownership of the People Analytics and Reporting (PAR) JIRA product backlog. Ensuring User Stories are clearly defined, prioritized and ready for PAR analysts
  • Leads discovery/grooming sessions with stakeholders and PAR team to ensure user stories are clearly defined prior to the product team beginning work
  • Prioritizing process and capability improvement activities through balancing business, user and stakeholder needs. Considering resourcing and the broader IT program of work
  • Facilitate capability beta testing and launch demos for stakeholders and capability users
  • Be the voice of the business for the analyst team. You must understand the business strategy and processes at a deep level to support and direct the PAR analysts
  • Ensure capability training resources are available and updated for users prior to a capability moving into a production environment
  • Anticipate users' future needs by partnering with stakeholders to understand their future program/department goals
  • Create and foster a network of change advocates and super users throughout the business aimed to increase adoption of PAR capabilities, assist with QA and Training
  • Evaluate and share PAR capability performance and return on investment (adoption) monthly with Sr. manager and VP of Talent
  • Commitment to continual research and evaluation of market developments in innovation, new technology and trends in the People Analytics space
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with other Service owners (Product Owners) and program managers across the Enterprise, particularly in other similar areas such as IT and Data and Analytics
  • Be a steward and advocate of Blue Shield of CA agile methodologies

Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree (MBA or MS in related field preferred)
  • Requires 6-8 years in Product Management, Management Consulting, or Entrepreneurship
  • Extensive experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role focused on complex applications
  • Deep experience creating user stories and maintaining a product backlog for Kanban or Scrum teams
  • Understanding of corporate systems and processes, particularly in the areas of Data management, analytics, and reporting
  • Deep experience managing Data Science, Analytics, Data and Reporting products within an agile environment
  • An ability to confidently initiate and sustain communications with a range of parties within the Enterprise
  • Understanding of Information Technology agile product lifecycle methodology
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing product strategy and
  • Management of stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to be flexible and negotiate with executive-level stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high priority analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Basic understanding of HR systems (Examples: Oracle HCM, Taleo, Workday, etc.)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Intermediate understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Basic understanding of statistics and exposure to both quantitative and qualitative analytical methods
