Need storm contracting crews (Fort Wayne)
Indiana, Fort wayne 00000 Fort wayne USA

Vacancy expired!

We believe in multiple streams of income, and we are always working to solidify more work for our contractors. We are incredibly pleased to announce we have been awarded a contract to supply Damage Assessment services for a power utility group in all their regions. As one of their approved vendors, we can now put more people to work during a deployment than ever before. This work involves 2 person crews organized in teams of 10 to 15 crews (20 to 30 people) who assess damage to the distribution network after an event such as a hurricane. On large events, they will need hundreds or even thousands of crews from their vendors and these crews are typically the first to deploy and last to leave until all power is restored.

We have little time to get this program setup for the peak of the 2020 hurricane season. Currently, we need candidates to be Damage Assessment Team Leaders. The ideal candidates will have experience with Electric Distribution networks, for example having previously worked as a lineman. Someone whose only electrical experience is that they once installed a ceiling fan at their house is NOT a qualified candidate. However, someone who was never a lineman but who has extensive electrical experience might be considered.

The main purpose of the damage assessment job is to properly identify the issue and request the necessary personnel and equipment to fix the job in one shot. So you need to be able to identify, for example, that this site requires a clearing crew (tree on the line), a new power pole, fiber repair, and a new transformer.

If you are approved to be a Damage Assessment Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to build your own team under you. We will give our recruiters the green light to help find you qualified people to fill out your team. If you have the necessary experience but do not want to be a team lead, that's fine, we will work to place you on a team that is a good fit for your work style.

If you are interested in just recruiting or have someone you want to refer, there are referral bonuses for you. Most all our contracts pay a passive residual for every labor hour, ongoing, for all crews you recruit

Think about what this means! When we deploy that Team Leader, his/her 10 to 15 crews (20-30 people) are deploying with him/her. The teams go as a unit. One team equals 20-30 of your people deployed for up to 16 hours per day for the duration of the event. You and your Team Leaders will be responsible for building and training your crews, based on the training material we will give you.

We need to set this up asap. We are nearing the peak of hurricane season in one of the two busiest years on record. We have scheduled the Leader training for August 18th, so we have very little time to get this done. We need at least 17 leaders in Florida, 17 in North and South Carolina, and 5 in the Midwest.

We need to be ready in about 3 weeks with crews trained and ready to deploy.
