Here at Blue Shield of California, we are striving to make a positive change across our industry and the communities we live in - join us!Your Role The Command Control Center (BSOC) team is responsible for executing and monitoring batch operations and NOC events to assure successful execution and completion within required timelines . The Supervisor - NOC / Batch Operations Team will report to the Senior Manager, Command Control Center . In this role you will supervise and work alongside the team to provide L1 support for BSOC Operations and work with other operations teams to ensure batch and NOC are operating efficiently and drives continuous improvement. You will manage the day-to-day activities of the shift team members, review work is done in compliance with defined standards, report SLA metrics, and be the technical and administrative leader that the teams can look up to. You will resolve incidents with support of L2 and L3 teams and drive problem management to ensure incidents do not recur and develop solutions that improve business outcomes for BSOC Operations .Your WorkIn this role, you will:

  • Supervise technical work and be responsible for quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
  • Be responsible for implementing technical improvements to processes and policies that enhance performance of NOC and Batch operations
  • Provide guidance and assistance to staff
  • Perform administrative duties to ensure there is adequate coverage during the Shifts, host 1:1s with team members, approve timesheets, time-off requests, change tickets, provide attestations to security credentialing, etc
  • Execute and monitor batch operations and network operations center (NOC) events to assure successful execution and completion within required timelines
  • Provide technical direction and proactive solutions to ensure optimal performance of batch schedule and ensure compliance with batch window
  • Provide secondary level of support, analysis, troubleshooting, and triage to resolve batch operations and/or NOC events
  • Develop and continually refine NOC documentation and other enterprise monitoring policies and ensure NOC tools can meet requirements
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate requirements/requests into design and implementation of updates or additions to batch schedule or NOC events
  • Support critical issues through to resolution. Support various customers within IT and the business
Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience with an enterprise job scheduler and/or network operations or monitoring role
  • Requires shift work and weekend work
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications, Service Marketplace, Reporting and dashboarding tools
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
