You would apply your skills to reduce cycle time and customer lead time, improve productivity, and reduce material cost.Specific Responsibilities Include:Transducer assembly (mechanical assembly, bonding and potting) experience desiredMolding experience desiredDeveloping undersea product line assemblies; including manufacturing processesDeveloping tooling/fixture/die design concepts Interfacing with suppliersPro-Engineer/3D Modeling capability desiredUnderstanding of DFMA PrinciplesPlanning and incorporation of design changesCreating and overseeing projects using risk management techniquesTranslating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentationDispositioning discrepant hardwareLeading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrenceParticipate in process improvement initiativesProviding technical leadership to multi- disciplined teamsDeveloping work cell layouts and critical lift processesConducting safety/ergonomic assessmentsGenerating and maintaining labor standardsThis position will require interaction with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers with some travel required.U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Required Skills:4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experienceExperience in transducer assembly; mechanical assembly/bonding/pottingExperience in moldingManufacturing Process and Procedure Development and Maintenance experienceSpecialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development) experienceDesign for Test and Design for Automation experienceDesired Skills:Knowledge and ability to apply six sigma principles and techniquesExperience in DFMA principlesKnowledge of composites a plusPro-Engineer/3D Modeling capability a plusProcess familiarity with Paint, Plating, Chromate / Chemical Conversions" to the desired skillsStrong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslySelf-motivated and results orientedInnovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technologyProficiency with CAD solid modeling toolsProficiency with simulation tools and augmented realityExperience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) SystemExperience with various automation systemsDetail oriented with strong coordination skillsExperience with MRL and TRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level and Technology Readiness Level) AssessmentsAbility to work in a team environmentSolid understanding of configuration management practicesProven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skillsDemonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplinesAbility to work with minimum direct supervisionQualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalentActive DoD Clearance (Secret, Confidential)Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications disposition non- conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysisExperience with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)Experience in developing manufacturing processes for undersea productsRequired Education (including Major):Bachelor of Science degree preferable in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.166484Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
