    TIME IN GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.

    This position requires travel of approximately 1-2 nights per month.

    The selectee must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times will result in removal from the position.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To qualify at the GS-09 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 in Federal service OR a Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. OR J.D., if related OR a combination of post high school education and experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

    To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 in Federal service OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related OR a combination of post high school education and experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

    DEFINITION OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the following:

    GS-9 - Experience in at least two of the following: gathering background information to support projects, presentations, or data analysis; evaluating data; providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data; author briefing papers, written reports, and other communications; making recommendations regarding inefficient operations; or Strategic Planning.

    GS-11 - Experience in at least two of the following: evaluating data and providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data; author briefing papers, written reports, and other communications; making recommendations regarding inefficient operations; or Strategic Planning.

    In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that the applicant meets the qualification requirement above - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

    Education

    This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience.     How You Will Be Evaluated

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
