Summary:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all construction activities on design-build construction projects within the company’s standards, processes, and procedures.

A fitting candidate must have prior construction management experience and a well-rounded knowledge of construction means and methods for a variety of building systems and construction types.

Functions:

Project Start-Up

- coordinate set-up of site

- coordinate project walks prior to commencement of work

Scheduling

- develop general and project specific schedules

- maintain schedules

- assess the impact of changes, adverse conditions, and slippages

Estimating / Budgeting

- complete accurate and detailed take-offs,

- develop estimate

- maintain budget

- communicate accurate cost coding / scope of work completed with Accounting

- review monthly invoicing to clients for accuracy

Operations / Coordination

- thoroughly evaluate project documents (plans, specifications, etc.)

- request, review, and thoroughly evaluate all subcontractor, consultant, and other proposals

- manage all project operations

- manage subcontractors, consultants, and others

- train workers in construction means and methods and in the operation of tools and equipment

- maintain up-to-date project documents in the field

- place/receive all material orders

- maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, etc.

- manage cleanliness of site

- complete and deliver daily and weekly logs / reports

Project Close-Out / Punch Lists

- finalize subcontract values

- commission building systems

- deliver a pristine work of Art to client

Post-Construction

- manage client relations

Administrative

- maintain organization of all project documentation per organizational standards in the office and in the field

- manage meetings (site and office)

- manage work authorizations

- manage contracts

- onsite HR management

Requirements:

- working construction field experience at supervisor level or higher

- solid mastery of applicable building code requirements

- thorough knowledge of construction means/methods, materials, systems and integration of various disciplines

- able to fulfill all functions of position

- high level of computer literacy and proficiency including fundamental skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator

Preferences:

- Bachelor or Masters degree

- experience with CAD programs
