We are seeking an individual to fill a clinician position at our Wellness Center. Strongly prefer Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Professional Counselor, however registered interns will be considered. Substance use Disorder experience is helpful and adolescent behavioral experience is helpful. Must be willing to commute to Fallon.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Therapist - provides clinical intervention and therapeutic services to recipients in our Program. The primary accountabilities for this position are to (1) complete psycho-social assessments; (2) provide individual, group, couples and/or family therapy; (3) participate in monthly individual or group team meetings; and (4) collaborate with the team to facilitate a treatment team approach across sites.

ESSENTIAL CONTRACT JOB DUTIES:

1. Complete psychosocial assessments to formulate a preliminary treatment plan.

2. Participate in group supervision and/or case review meetings as part of a treatment team. (interns)

3. Provide individual, group, couples and/or family therapy to recipients living in the community.

4. Develop and facilitate psycho-educational groups and workshops. (optional)

5. Provide crisis intervention to walk-in recipients or by telephone as needed.

6. Maintain accurate, current, and complete case files for each recipient; complete progress notes after each individual, couples or family session.

7. Complete documentation as requested by court, social services, probation, DCFS (as appropriate).

8. Maintain all forms required by the Nevada Board, if applicable; observe professional rules, regulations, and ethics.

9. Maintain professional liability insurance

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain the confidentiality of recipient, staff, volunteer, and agency information. Exceptions include information pertaining to child abuse, elder abuse, danger to self or others or in response to an authorized release of information.

2. Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and other staff.

3. Represent the agency in a positive, professional manner at all times.

4. Maintain a tidy, organized work area.

5. Able to operate independently.

Minimum Qualifications and Licensing Requirements:

A valid license as a Nevada Marriage, Family Therapist, or a Clinical Professional Counselor able to exercise considerable independent clinical judgment within the scope of the program responsibilities is preferred; or Registered Interns with the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family therapists with an approved Supervisor.
