Purpose of PositionKey responsibilities of the Sales Operations Specialist are creating qualified business leads generated by Sales and Marketing by following up with potential customers to determine how Hennessy Industries’ products can best meet their requirements.Key Responsibilities

Generate target market leads by conducting phone interviews with lead prospect to pre-qualify potential customers for further cultivation by outside sales and distributors

Gather business intelligence on companies, leads and qualified prospects to sustain a pipeline

Maintain contact information of prospects as well as record sales potential and next steps in the sales process in the approved CRM system following the lead qualification process

Briefly discuss the use of products, emphasizing product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities

Maintain a working knowledge of company products, special sales programs and marketing efforts within the sales division

Produce monthly reports on leads conversion rates and funnel status

Follow up on requests for additional information

Establish basic lead grading for each prospect

Follow up on direct mail campaigns

Validate direct marketing lists

Special projects as required

RelationshipsThis position will interface with sales, engineering, manufacturing, customerservice, field service, and finance.Background and Skill

BS or BA in Business or technical-related field required

0-3 years of lead qualification and/or marketing experience. New college graduates will be considered with relevant co-op or internship experience

Solid understanding of business concepts, sales process and ability to advance leads

Exceptional ability to immediately establish one's credibility with customers

Ability to perform in a lean, cross-functional, team-oriented environment

Ability to meet personal and team weekly, monthly and quarterly goals

Exudes enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and attention to detail

Extensive skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptionally strong customer service skills
