Job Description

SummaryWorks early morning shifts starting at 4 AM as required and produces all baked bread items in Pastry shop according to standard recipes and Chef’s specifications. Prepares items for all facets of hotel food service.

Essential Job Functions Maintains quality of fresh, baked bread and breakfast items according to Chef's requirements Prepares all recipes as required for daily service Assist Pastry Chef, Banquet Chef and Restaurant Chef in production Maintains station cleanliness during shift Completes daily production list by shift end Cleans station at shift end

Additional Job Duties Make Manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook Report to shift on time Comply with all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department, The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand Responsible for assisting all team members in organization of kitchen items, to include, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies and proper rotation and organization of all food deliveries.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year food pastry cook experience Culinary degree or equivalent

Additional Information

Physical Demands Kneeling, bending, and standing for extended times. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work and handle occasional extreme heat or cold environment.
