Job Title: Electrical Engineering, Group Leader

SUMMARY

Researches, develops, designs, documents,and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems. Overall reesponsibility for fire, life and safety issues relating to the electrical systems designed for our coaches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designs and directs production personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.

Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.

Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.

Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.

Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Performs various other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or eighteen to twenty-four months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be computer literate with auto cad experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
