Project Architect / Project Manager

Colley Architects is currently seeking an Architect for our office located in Blacksburg, Virginia. This position requires a person that is a team player and can lead multi-discipline project coordination. Potential candidates should have a professional work ethic and the ability to interface with clients on a daily basis in order to provide exceptional customer service.

Our office, located in downtown Blacksburg, overlooks Main Street and is just steps away from the campus of Virginia Tech. Whether you are a Hokie eager to work on university projects, an outdoor enthusiast wanting to be close to all the New River Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer, or just looking for an alternative to the busy city life, Colley Architects may be the place for you. We are a small, growing firm, and in need of energetic team players willing to wear multiple hats. Position is Salary, Full Time, Minimum of 40 Hours per Week, M-F

Compensation Negotiable, Please Include Salary Requirements with Resume

Required Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in Architecture is desired

Professional Degree in Architecture

Registered Architect License (preferred) or on an active path to becoming licensed in Virginia

Possess knowledge of applicable building codes in evaluating code compliance

Hardworking and devoted to the creation of dynamic, engaging designs

Ideally possess strong design and graphic skills

Ability to interact effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, architects and other offices with a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information

Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

Must exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership

Must possess good time-management skills and strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Fluent in architectural design understanding and coordination

3+ years' experience with Revit

Enthusiastic about being a lifelong learner

Have a sense of humor!

Must be passionate about quality Design, your Community, and the Environment.
