for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.Hours: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30amThe position of Quality Control Supervisor is within our Infectious Disease
Developed Markets business unit located at Scarborough, Maine. In this role you will perform work required
to ensure Company product quality is maintained at standards set forth by
Company Quality System and mandated by regulatory agencies such as the FDA,
ISO, and USDA. The focus areas for a IQC
Supervisor include but are not limited to:
overseeing and coordinating the work of IQC technicians; enforcing policies,
procedures and work rules; manufacturing batch record review and approval.This job description will be reviewed
periodically and is subject to change by management.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates and facilitates inspections for all products.
Plans, assigns and directs the daily work activities in the InstrumentQC area.
Works closely with the Instrument QC team leads to facilitate timely andaccurate inspections.
Observe all safety policies and report safetyincidents in a timely manner.
Meet regularly with Instrument QC staff on anindividual level to discuss job performance related topics.
Ensures the IQC department is supporting OpExinitiatives including daily Tier meetings.
Works cross-functionally to ensure product is inspected and releasedaccording to schedule.
Ensures effective transitions between shifts.
Initiates and authors Quality Incidents (QI).
Works closely with Quality Control Manager to ensure all IQC objectivesare met or exceeded.
Enhances productivity by uncovering inefficiencies and recommendingsolutions.
Trains new and current IQC technicians as needed
Perform inspections or data review as needed.
Must perform all duties in a professional manner to ensure a positiveteam environment.
Reviews/approves new and revised Standard Operating Procedures asnecessary
Assists QC Manager in troubleshooting and other projects as necessary
Provides support for technical and quality issues
SupervisoryResponsibilities
This job has supervisory responsibilities of the IQC Technicians and/or Specialists.This individual shall carry out theirsupervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies andapplicable laws.
Other responsibilities include: participating in
interviews; providing input on appraising performance; providing input on
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree preferablyin a technical field or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
2+ years in a leadership position .
3+ years of quality control and/or inspection experience,preferably in medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of qualityinspections including knowledge of measurement systems.
Experienceworking with medical device instrumentation.
Experience withGMP, FDA, ISO and USDA regulations.
COMPETENCIES:
Firmunderstanding of quality standards and be able to make independent judgementbased on those standards.
Knowledge of inventory management systems;moderate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word software.
