Description:Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our growing Neuroscience team located in Richland, Washington!Shift Details: Per Diem. Variable shifts.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:

GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of date of hire required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year Neurodiagnostic Technologist experience preferred.

Certificate of completion of a course in EEGs and Evoked Potential monitoring preferred.

ABRET registration or enrolled in a training program as an EEG Technologist preferred.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist you will perform SSEP, Motor Evoked Potentials, EMG's, BAER and EEG's.

Properly follows the Medical Center's guidelines for Neurodiagnostic procedures.

Applies suitable electrodes on predetermined positions and checks their performance.

Calibrates and adjusts the neurodiagnostic recording apparatus in accordance with standard procedures.

Obtains standard recordings, recognizes artifacts and technical problems, and takes appropriate steps to eliminate or correct them. Able to troubleshoot equipment and make recommendations to Clinical Engineering.

Assesses and documents abnormal activities noted during the patient recording and notifies the Neurologist as necessary.

Uses activating procedures such as hyperventilation, sleep or photic stimulation as required.

Records all relevant events on the report.

Collaborates with health care team and coordinates discharge planning

Communicates accurately and effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
