Sr. Lab Technologist

Position Summary

Position reports directly to the Lab Director. Directs, organizes and supervises lab operations at the Bluefield location in the Laboratory to assure regulatory compliance and effective employee management. Schedules lab staff, manages time system for assigned employees, and assists in staff coverage as needed. Prepares budget and ensures compliance with budgetary spending. Orders supplies for department. Monitors, evaluates and troubleshoots quality control. Directs workflow. Ensures quality patient care to include neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

Required:

Formal Education and Certifications

WV Medical Lab Scientist License per West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services Office of Laboratory Services.

Knowledge and Experience

Three years or more experience in a clinical lab

Color vision designation
