Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of

Medicine and the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh are recruiting

for a Clinical Director of the NICU at UPMC Children’s Hospital in the

Division of Newborn Medicine. The Newborn Division has thirty neonatal

faculty and a twelve fellow Neonatal-Perinatal medicine fellowship

training program. The core NICUs at UPMC Children’s Hospital of

Pittsburgh and the UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital include a 55-bed level

four unit and a 77-bed level three unit with 11,000 deliveries. In

addition to these two sites, we manage five community NICUs with a total

Theoverall function of the Clinical Director is to assist the Chief ofNeonatology to coordinate the delivery of specialty care to all patientsas needed and to administer the Division of Neonatology in theDepartment of Pediatrics in compliance with standards and regulationsset forth by JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.

Provides administrative oversight of the entire breadth of clinical activities in the NICU.

Providesadministrative oversight of the medical residents, neonatal nursepractitioner, student nurse and allied health professional trainingprograms affiliated with the NICU.Representsthe NICU on multiple hospital committees and serves as critical liaisonbetween the NICU, the pediatric medical staff and outside agencies

QualificationsQualifications:

Candidate must have completed a Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship program and be Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Seeking an individual with previously demonstrated leadership abilities

Must be qualified for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
