This position is EMG-focused, daylight shiftsThe final candidate will be placed in the correct positiontitle and salary based on his/her education level and experience.Purpose:Perform under direct supervision and according to established guidelines and procedures, routine and complex procedures to obtain data for use in the clinical diagnosis of disorders of the nervous system in at least one of the following modalities of Neurodiagnostics: Electroencephalogarphy (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Epilepsy Monitoring and Polysomnograhy (PSG), or Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS). Perform duties in various diagnostic and research areas as assigned.Responsibilities:Note: this position is focused on EMG.

Performs basic nerve conductionstudies on assigned patients under direct supervision of a physician usingelectromyography;

Performs electromyographystudies utilizing nerve conduction techniques;

Utilizes digital filtering intesting;

Follows established proceduresin determining effects of temperature in clinical neurophysiology;

Demonstrates the ability toprovide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect the developmentallevel of population served (as applicable);

Cleans, replenishes, maintains,and assures availability instruments and supplies as needed;

Ability to perform patient careactivities as delegated by the Physician or Supervisor while adhering tostandards of clinical practice and patient care appropriate to the age andstate of the patient;

Maintains knowledge of, andcomplies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures andstandards;

Actively participates increating and implementing improvements;

Performs other responsibilitiesas needed/assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Six months of patient care/health care or EEG/EMG experience.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
