Position DescriptionWhat does a great Solutions Consultant do?The Solutions Consultant provides expert business/technical consultation, and has in-depth understanding of Fiserv Products and Services, Systems, and Clients in the Financial Services domain. You will provide consultation to clients regarding Fiserv products, services and system features and consult with senior IT management and clients on the design of complex systems and projects.As a Solutions Consultant, you can look forward to:

Leading and Documenting the Conversion Discovery Process; Identifying and developing solutions to cover gaps in large client conversions

Gathering client requirements for software development that will support the client implementation/conversion

Consulting with client and Fiserv executive leadership on platform / system solutions and business impact through the utilization of existing business systems applications

Working with senior management to define and develop technology strategy and process improvements; identifies and implements opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance revenue and improve product efficiency

Identifying risks and issues, managing and escalating appropriately

Providing support to Fiserv Sales and Client Relationship Organization

Building partnerships with clients, product owners, conversion teams, and program management

Communicates openly and effectively in both written and verbal form

Is comfortable direct client facing communications

Understands and can explain complex technical ideas in layman’s terms and alternate their communication style according to their audience

Can present data innovatively in order to gain understanding and support from their audience

Can determine estimates of effort and impacts on a variety of solutions

Manages rapid change in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills and a confident meeting facilitator

Has enthusiasm to motivate others. Dedication to be part of the team, and to support others

Basic qualifications for consideration:

8+ years of experience in the card issuing industry including conversions to new processing platforms

In-depth understanding of business processes within portfolio (cardholder pricing, industry compliance, regulatory requirements, etc)

Proven experience in a client facing role consulting and negotiating with clients to achieve favorable outcomes for Fiserv and our clients

Proficient in the software development life-cycle

Night and weekend shifts may be required during implementation and conversion projects

Travel to client sites required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

5+ years of conversion experience preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX

Knowledge of architecture/technology needs of the organization based on business priorities, strategies, goals, and economic viability

Demonstrated analytical capabilities within both strategic and detailed forums

Experience with and knowledge of Fiserv platforms is preferred

Experience managing full life cycle projects with inter-dependent or direct resources

Proven ability to manage and mitigate risks to project delivery

Bachelor's degree preferred
