Skilled Carpenter (Western McDowell County/Old Fort)

Do you want to be part of a high energy construction team? Local general contractor looking for talented, responsible, experienced carpenter who can work from the ground up. Project management skills are a plus but not necessary.

We are a small progressive company. We build everything from timberframe to stick-built to modular, with an emphasis on modern and smaller homes. Our company has been around for a decade, and we've gone through a lot of challenges and changes over the years, but we're excited to be developing a new strong and efficient ground of operations working with the principles of "Lean Building."

We're busy and we need another strong carpenter and good person. The right fit will be progressive, reliable, capable, mature, already skilled and still eager to learn, and good-natured. Must have your own tools, phone, driver's license and reliable transportation, as well as carry your own Worker's Comp. Must be able to show up on time ready to work with a good attitude and strong carpentry skills. You need to currently live within 25 miles of Old Fort (Asheville to Morganton). Most jobs are in western McDowell County. You will work closely with our Operations Coordinator and must be able to communicate responsibly, work as a team member, be efficient and meet deadlines. We pay $17-$22 an hour for this position. Ideally, we'll find someone who will stay with us and grow.
