HDR currently has an opening for a Senior Geomatics Manager in West Virginia.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Primary focus will be as an Advanced Survey Project Manager for identified projects.

  • Assist with the overall strategy and implementation of the geomatics program as well as assist with business development to help drive revenue and growth.

  • Assist project managers in preparing project scope and budget for geomatics services.

  • Duties will include, but may not be limited to, both office and field work, the management and performance of field surveys and perform GPS static surveys and RTK surveys. Additional duties include oversight of the preparation of boundary retracement surveys, topographic surveys and construction stakeout, ALTA, as-built and pre-construction surveys. . At times, you will be expected to certify documents prepared under your direct supervision.

  • Post processing (registration) and quality control of survey data (Mobile, Terrestrial and Aerial).

  • Assist with driving and managing relationships with third party technology vendors and teaming partners

  • Assist with development of new office locations around the country.

  • Conduct data compilation and analysis of various data acquisition technologies (e.g. Aerial, LiDAR, Hydrography, Survey & Reality Mesh).

  • Assist with marketing and visualization techniques to promote the use of geomatics services.

  • Assist with business development of external opportunities through thought leadership, conference attendance and presentations.

  • Collaborate with team to identify and apply new technologies within the company through supporting needs of Business Group specific workflows for implementation of data

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Professional Land Surveyor Certified is required.

  • 10+ years of survey and project management experience with Aerial LiDAR, Land topo, Boundary, Alta surveys, hydrographic surveys and utility surveys required.

  • A proven track record of business development and program management

  • FAA Registered drone sUAS pilot required.

  • Strong communications, scheduling and presentations skills.

  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
