Do you have a passion for numbers? Does reconciling excite you? If so, we are currently seeking an accountant professional to help support our finance department and enjoys working in a team environment. This is a currently a remote position with the possibility of becoming an onsite position in the future. This position is responsible for reviewing general ledger activity, compiling monthly financial statements and journal entries, financial grants management, compiling monthly reconciliations, and month-end closings.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile general ledger for monthly month end close

2. Preparation and data entry of monthly journal entries for Month End Close

3. Prepare reports and reconciliations for Controller to review for the annual audit

4. Review of financial statements and supporting schedules to assist the Controller with keeping accurate financial records

5. Prepare Monthly reconciling for grant revenues and expenditures

6. Invoice and maintain the grants accounts receivable

7. Prepare monthly financial statements for the Board of Directors and RCH Directors and Officers for the Controller to review

8. Communicate with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and others, and maintains confidentiality

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Personal commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, core values

Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate

Ability to handle confidential material

Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook

Excellent computer skills, including the use of accounting software

Accuracy and attention to detail

Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines

GAAP and procedures including ledger entries and reconciliations

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years general accounting experience Preferred
