POSITION: Estimator/ Design Engineer
LOCATION: Lake Oswego/Tualatin
Salary: $80,000 to start
This position is generally responsible for utilizing all available technology in the estimation, design, engineering, and configuration of a full range of electronic security systems. Emphasis is on the creation of a cost-effective solution that meets customer needs and expectations. Sales, engineering, and project managers give guidance as to the nature of the desired system.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Estimator/Engineer will be expected to perform the following tasks including, but not limited to:
Create Estimates for Access Control, Video Surveillance and Intrusion Projects
Perform Takeoffs of Bid Documents
Read and Understand Technical Specifications
Work with our Sales and Engineering Teams to Design Access Control, Video Surveillance and Intrusion Systems.
Prepare various project correspondence and documentation.
Become familiar with client(s) procedures.
Quality Check (QC) own work prior to returning to source.
Work with Drafters to create installation drawings for field technicians.
Work under supervision. Work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy and conformance with prescribed procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Strong computer skills.
Experience working with D-tools
Proficient with MS Office software products: Word/Excel/Outlook.
Detail-oriented.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
Willingness to work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
