Motor Controls Inc. (MCI) is a 39-year-old manufacturing company, based in Dallas, Texas.

We engineer, design, manufacture, and assemble industrial electrical control panels and systems, UL Listed, NEMA rated electrical cabinets, structural metal fabrications, water treatment equipment, turf irrigation pumping systems, and municipal water pumping stations.

Motor Controls is looking for a high-energy Powder Coat Painter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The hours are generally 7:00 AM thru 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Our painters MUST be able to read prints to ensure the paint color, thickness, and application are done per the customers’ specifications. We are looking for a specialist who understand viscosity, how to apply powder in a uniform manner and who can troubleshoot problems. The powder coat area must be kept clean and you must maintain the equipment as well as your work area and make minor repairs as necessary.

You can:

-Maintain a steady flow of work with minimal stops without sacrificing quality

-Visually inspect all product before painting to ensure product is properly prepped

-Study the print/schematics to ensure proper color and application

-Apply consistent mil thicknesses on varying product

-Monitor bake oven whenever it is in operation

-Maintain spray guns and equipment

-Keep work area clean and organized

-Wear proper PPE at all times

-Work in an environment that is not climate controlled

-Follow all OSHA safety regulations and best practices

You have/are:

-Minimum 2 years Powder Coating experience

-Well-versed in standard concepts, practices and procedures related to powder coating

-Wet Painting experience not necessary, but a definite plus

-Willingness to help out in other areas as needed

-Good at looking at the business needs from the company's perspective

-A team attitude
