Machine Operator (San Marcos)

The HT Group is currently hiring for a Machine Operator for our client located in San Marcos, TX. The purpose of this position is to set up, maintain and operate machinery. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, is experienced in machine operation and/or is interested in learning to operate multiple machines such as the Extruder and Braider.Position: Machine OperatorType: Temp-to-hirePay: $13.50Schedule:M-F, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsSkills and Requirements of the Machine Operator:Mechanically inclinedWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)Understanding of production proceduresWilling and able to learn and operate multiple machinesAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manualsAnalytical skillsAttention to detailTeamwork and communication skillsPhysical stamina and strengthHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
