Stakeholder Management with functions to ensure team members understand and are aligned with program goals, objectives and critical path. Participates in program meetings. Partners with the Program Manager to build out and manage the cross-functional timeline and support the program in leading issue identification, risk identification & mitigation as well as leading sub-team meetings. Operational Effectiveness: Identify, plan and implement industry best practices in program planning, program planning systems and support process improvements in portfolio management and operations.The ideal candidate must have drug development knowledge, business acumen, demonstrated leadership skills and proven project planning skills and systems to be considered for this opportunity. Solid understanding of how the program data contributes to the portfolio decision making is preferred.This position can be remote-based.Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Lead and provide input into Project Management software implementations

Create fit for purpose tools / process for cross-functional planning

Develop visuals to support program in conceptualizing program status or changes

Partner with Program Manager to

understand the program and the objectives needed from the Governance team and functions

plan and manage, issues, risks, timeline changes, execution scenarios and other critical program level activities.

drive resolutions that affect critical path. Play a critical role in partnering with functions in risk and issue resolution and work-around plans to ensure milestones stay on track.

understand functional assumptions that inform plan timelines and next decision points to anticipate necessary planning activities around upcoming milestones.

develop execution scenario planning with functions to support program strategy planning.

own the timelines/risks/resources for the Governance group sub-teams and cross-functional milestones. Meeting with team leads and sub-teams to mitigate problem risks and provide mitigation planning or strategy change planning. Ensure Program Manager is aware of sub-team recommended changes or risks to overall strategic program plan

develop detailed and integrated project plans for the program milestones ensuring critical path is identified. Negotiation of strategy implementation and active management of milestones.

lead team in contingency and alternative path planning activities to support strategic change or risk materialization.

support detailed analytics from strategic program plan

Take part in/lead Program Management/Organizational initiatives, and participate in Portfolio Management initiatives as neededAbout You:Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline. MBA or advanced degree preferred

Program planning system implementation experience is a plus

5-7 years of managing drug development Projects/Programs with demonstrated leadership skills in in a biotech/bio-pharmaceutical environment

Strong drug development knowledge; ideally experience in discovery through commercialization

Strong drug development project planning experience. Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is a plus.

Resource planning experience is a plus

Project budget oversight experience is a plus

Project/Program/Portfolio Management process improvement experience is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, motivate with enthusiasm and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders.

Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a proven track record of success in fast-paced and demanding environment and strong desire to “make things happen”, including a results-oriented work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.

Must be a team player with the highest of personal values and ethical standards.
