SummaryYou will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Strategy, Integration, Resources & Requirements Division, J63, of USINDOPACOM, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for development and/or review and coordination of Information Assurance I Computer Network Defense (IA/CND) operations support plans and procedures.You will supervise the planning, installation, operations and maintenance of IA/CND technologies, systems, procedures, plans and services associated with the Headquarters Pacific segment of the Global Information Grid.You will serve as the technical authority, applying a broad range of analytical methods in determining the impact of policy on activities.You will be responsible for the review of draft changes to existing and new IA/CND related publications.You will prepare and present briefings and reports to high level managers.You will recruit, train and develop, establish performance goals and objectives, review performance and dispense minor disciplinary measures, approve leave, counsel, and assist in resolving personal problems for subordinates.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the experience demonstrating the four competencies above, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Providing leadership and management to a team of Information Technology personnel to develop, field, and sustain information systems; 2) Advising senior leadership on new capabilities and opportunities to improve technology and information systems; 3) Determining, developing, and ensuring cooperation and coordination with related Information Assurance program efforts; and 4) Providing in-depth analysis of threat indicators coupled with in-depth knowledge of system/network security.
