immediate casting/hiring in the ann arbor area

the position is an odd one. you will be cast in a living piece of waking theatre. a play without a curtain. we're opening a new, deeply immersive performance art theatre creation space in downtown ann arbor. it's also a gallery where everything is for sale but nothing has a price and no one ever asks you to buy anything. it just happens. creations speak to us and we work to claim them.

in short: this isn't a desk job. ideal candidates are playful and open. flexible, curious, and woke. revolutionary spirits, bent towards collective consciousness and expansive means of production for all. thoughtful creatures with dazzling ideas, audacious perspectives and follow through. honest, intelligent, organized, trustworthy, creative people who are curious and hungry to explore. why are we?

some tasks could include:

-being a face of our organization,

-performing for a live audience,

-curating space and selling art,

-managing social media,

-emails, online sales

-general tidying and shop upkeep

-ongoing layout and design,

-impromptu (and planned) video/photo shoots, events, dance parties, protests, rallies, costume play

-general stage & studio management

-editing experience is a —(photos, videos, writing)

plus the role of fabulous executive assistant.
