Shop Foreman/Mechanic (Alexandria, MN)

Masters Plumbing Heating & Cooling LLC is looking for a full-time shop supervisor for our location in Alexandria, MN. This person will perform an array of functions that will include equipment maintenance, general labor, receiving incoming shipments, delivering trailers of parts/equipment to job sites, loading trailers safely and managing and organizing the shop daily. Truly a “jack of all trades” position.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Mechanical skills; maintenance experience

Deliver parts or haul equipment to various job sites with a company truck and trailer (Class A – CDL license preferred but not required)

Operate equipment well (forklift, skidsteer, etc.)

Welding experience a plus

Prepare returns to vendors

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and shop neat

Occasional travel to job sites for basic labor-type help when needed (some overnights possible)

Wear proper safety equipment

Other misc. duties as assigned

Qualification requirements:

Clean and valid driver's license required

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills

Dependable and reliable

Takes initiative to problem solve and work hard independently

Physical demands and abilities

Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
