POSITION SUMMARYIn this role, you are the subject matter expert for the product and a business partner to our clients and internal teams in gathering requirements, creating user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria, defining workflows, designing business rules, and integrating file transfer with external and internal systems. This is a highly collaborative role that emphasizes quality and great customer experiences. Technical aptitude is a must for success in this role both in terms of data mapping, business rules development, and SQL querying. This person works closely with various teams to make business decisions and create product strategies that ensure the company's long term sustainability. In the execution of these strategies, Business Systems Analyst works with various company departments to ensure client and market needs are met.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
  • Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technical, application or configuration solutions.
  • Provide oversight of business requirement/specification maintenance via workflow system in accordance with customer deliverables.
  • Solicit, develop, document and manage requirements and provide detailed design to support the requirements throughout project life cycle
  • Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
  • Interprets business system configuration requests, and assigns to configuration staff in accordance with provider/employer contracts, and customer needs.
  • Provides consultative services by actively participating on numerous cross-functional teams and projects, as well as troubleshooting inquiries and issues from multiple business owners.
  • Researches complex problems to ascertain possible solutions.
  • Develops, maintains, and disseminates internal and external system documentation, including status updates; prepares procedural and customer documentation when required.
  • Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Communicate with Client, Client Executives, and all members of the delivery team.
  • Managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specifying market and business requirements for current and future products by conducting market research using multiple channels supported by on-going calls and visits to customers and prospects.
  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short-term and long-term releases.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, overseeing interdepartmental activities to execute plans.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
  • Define feature roadmap for company products based on business opportunities and market research.
  • Propose an overall product budget to ensure success.
  • Monitor and set prices on products in product line to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Work with sales management and other contributors to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop strategy.
  • Create feature descriptions to provide guidance to Business Analysts and contribute and approve the product-related Business Requirements Documents.
  • Validate detailed specifications and development costing versus market potential and future predictable revenue.
  • Develop, and when necessary, deliver concise and meaningful presentations for internal and external audiences, including education and training of sales staff, training of support groups, train the trainer programs, and presentations at symposia, trade shows, and key customer accounts.
  • Act as liaison between Sales, Client Services, Marketing Support, and Technology teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.
  • Work with Training team to develop product training plan internally and externally.
  • Consult with Client Services team to ensure appropriate service levels for the product line.
  • Act as a product champion within the company.

  • Experience managing the product lifecycle using agile methodologies with Atlassian JIRA and ALM software(s).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years Product Management and/or business systems analysis experience
  • Experience with cross-functional internal and external teams including Software, Product Engineering, Design and Marketing
  • Nice to have: Certified Product Owner (ScrumAlliance), Certified SAFe® Agile Product Manager
