Job Responsibilities:Daily Duties:

Diagnoses, repairs and maintains public swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and playground equipment.

Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.

Maintains the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality.

Maintain the pool and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaner

Maintain the pool pumps and filters.

Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tas

Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.

Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment.

Transports and stores hazardous chemical

Carrying out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorin

Regularly testing swimming pool water quality and pH balance.

Tests the chemical levels in public swimming pools and other water systems and adjusts as needed.

Maintains manual or automated records of all activities and prepares daily / weekly /monthly reports.

Picks up trash and cleans public swimming pools, restrooms and facility

Operates and inspects tools and equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs.

Operates vehicles to transport various types of materials and equipment.

Cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration unit

Servicing heating, circulation and de-humidifier system

Fixing lights above and below water level.

Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor.

Checking and repairing corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pool walls or floor

Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leaves or derbi

Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order

Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to manager

Trash rooms: Empty recycle bins/remove broken down boxes, sweep/wash floors in trash rooms, clean/repair as needed

Interior Common Areas: Change light bulbs, adjust thermometers, pick up debris

Glass Doors: Clean all glass doors G/A Buildings

Exterior: Clean/blow around A&G buildings, alley and driveway, pick up trash

As Needed:

Air conditioner Filters: Replace filters in A&G buildings

Common Area Contractors: Oversee/advice regarding repair/scheduled maintenance

Post alerts to residents that impact daily living

Drywall repair/touchup painting as required

Handle small electrical repairs

Clean refrigerator, stove in community room kitchen

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.

Conduct business always with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.

May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.

Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibility. Required to work with other maintenance staff members as a team to accomplish objectives.

Education & Experience

1-3 years Maintenance Experience

Requires the ability to perform work of an active nature

Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.

Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch on a regular basis.

Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word

Ability to work under indoor and outdoor conditions, exposed to elements including but not limited to, chemicals, odor, weather and environmental conditions. Must be acclimated to working in the heat and cold of the Sonoran Desert.

Equipment and Materials Used

General hand tools, electric power tools, ladders including extension ladder, mops, cleaning solutions, water and foam hoses, scrub pads, brushes, brooms, hand tools, and personal protective equipment as required.
