Registered Nurse - Emergency Center

As a designated Level III Trauma Center, Lawrence General Hospital’s Emergency Center treats the Merrimack Valley’s most serious illnesses and injuries. The Emergency Center nurse consistently encounters stressful situations and must demonstrate competent responsiveness to frequent critical situations with both adult and pediatric patients, and must work effectively with patients, families & co-workers. Under the direction and leadership of the Nurse Manager, the Emergency Center RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through knowledge of the nursing process and age specific requirements, and by following departmental and hospital policy and procedure. Qualified candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document care, delegate assignments, relay information, make referrals, and act as liaison between patient, physicians, other hospital disciplines, and community agencies.Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and TNCC. Prior 3 years emergency nursing experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 1 year acute care, med/surg or telemetry nursing experience is required.
