Summary of Position:The Geospatial Analyst will work on various projects using a variety of GIS software and skills to extract feature and/or terrain data from multiple sources and conduct research to fully prepare the data for our clients on-time and within budget. The ideal applicant is proficient with the tools needed to complete assigned tasks and demonstrates a willingness to improve their workflow and quality. This position requires strong technical skills along with the ability to troubleshoot software and data management issues. U.S. Citizenship required for this positionEssential Functions and Responsibilities: Analysts will work on multiple projects using GIS related software to extract features and/or terrain data and conflate and adjudicate vector sources. Analysts must be able to conduct research to prepare and populate attribution from sources, conduct quality control reviews of data, assist in training and more! Experience and Education:
Applicant should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience. Preferred experience includes working on production teams, knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, and computer technology; knowledge of geographical information systems, geospatial production techniques, and digital data formats.
Previous experience working with a government agency geospatial and cartographic data, products and services. In particular, the collection of feature and terrain data from satellite imagery and other sources is a plus.
License and/or Certifications:
GISP, CP or PMP preferred
