See Additional Information section for details.ResponsibilitiesAs a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:Monitor contractor business performance with regard to the installation maintenance mission in accordance with contract Award Fee plans.Develop and evaluate policies and procedures governing the maintenance, inspection, repair, modification and testing of equipment.Implement plans to significantly reduce/eliminate production barriers and improve business practices.Review budget and fund estimates and ensure that estimates provide for current and scheduled mission requirements.Review performance data against standards and recommends tests, equipment modifications, training for users and other corrective measures.Manage Government Purchase Card (GPC) controls for the division.Develop cost comparison studies on all functions of maintenance services performed by contractors to ensure the contractor is performing satisfactorily.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsWho May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Specialized experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one full year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work required in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience identifying problems and deficiencies regarding maintenance logistical support; assessing maintenance logistical readiness; and providing maintenance logistical oversight and technical expertise. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) or equivalent. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:Administration and ManagementMaintenance Planning and ManagementOperations SupportSupportability AnalysisTechnical Competence This is an obligated position under 10 U.S.C 1586. An "obligated" position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights based on active military service, compensable injury or disability when fully recovered, or return rights based on having served an overseas tour(s). Obligated positions may also cover employees who have been on extended leave without pay under certain circumstances. This is a Term position scheduled to last NTE 13 months. A term position may be extended to a maximum of 8 years depending upon the needs of management. The position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or a Temporary Reassignment and may be extended for current Department of Army employees. At the end of this period, you will return to your permanent position of record, or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay. Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion. This position MAY be made permanent without further competition. Contingent upon verification of the incumbent's non-competitive eligibility. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -no substitution of education for experience is permitted.Additional InformationMale applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
