- Supervises the Segregation of Duties program for key IT systems (e.g. SAP)
- Enhance the compliance function with a focus on SAP Security and Segragation of Duties
- Management of the IT General Controls’ Risk and Control Matrix, including coordination of periodic updates identification of new and changing requirements as they relate to SAP.
- Serve as SME and trusted advisor to SAP projects
- Work collaboratively with various parties, including business representatives, to guide delivery of the SAP security solution.
- Lead 1-2 direct reports and allocate responsibilities across the team, including this position
- Effectively communicate issues, decisions reached, and/or the status of SAP security activities.
- Validate and evolve the SAP security strategy; guide work to resolve any issues in the current SAP security solution.
- Develop centralized process for SAP security role administration.
- Work with IT Controls and Compliance, Internal Audit, and External Auditors to understand requirements and implement SAP security solutions to meet those requirements and maintain compliance under SOX program
- Leverage SAP Security and GRC experience to develop and maintain a robust process for user provisioning/de-provisioning, authentication/authorization, and reporting based on business needs, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain security roles to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and achieve targeted SLAs and audit compliance for each landscape (development, QA, production, etc).
- Define and manage the process for disaster recovery of the SAP Security solution in the event of a disaster.
- Define a methodology for security activities and responsibilities.
- Ensure that changes to roles and system are tested, approved and completed according to company standards. including regulatory and compliance requirements as well as happy path and non-happy path test scenarios.
- Ensure optimal utilization of technology solutions including system integration best practices, with proper consideration given to “cost vs. benefits.”
- Impart SAP Security expertise to other client employees or contractors through over the shoulder learning, system demonstrations, and coordinated knowledge sharing sessions.
- Plan, monitor and control the quality aspects of configuration and development progress versus plan.
- Conduct formal reviews of systems integrator deliverables.
- Maintain close collaboration and relationships with the business, the systems integration partner, and the enterprise IT team.
- Embrace and comply with solution governance and methodology.
- 8+ years of SAP Security Design, Implementation and Administration experience
- 3+ years of experience with SAP Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC)
- 2+ years of team management experiences and skills
- Experience with Segregation of Duties (SOD) identification, management and mitigation as part of Information Technology Governance and Controls
- Experience with user provisioning, role creation and maintenance in SAP via GRC
- Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts and least privilege design
- SAP Experience is mandatory
- Demonstrated 1 or more SAP implementations leveraging SAP expertise
- Strong Project Management and prioritization skills – ability to multi-task as needed on various projects and initiatives
- Strong analytical and interpersonal/communication skills required
- Ability to understand process flows
- Ability to configure SAP and make recommendations on SAP best practices
- Ability to configure SAP GRC and make recommendations on SAP GRC best practices
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team towards common goals
- Ability to take complex situations and simplify to deliver efficient and optimal business outcomes
- Ability to look at alternatives and make recommendations
- Ability to be open to change; strong listening skills
