Job SummaryNorthfield Retirement Community is seeking a Full-time Staffing Assistant to assist our Staffing Coordinator in maintaining the day to day staffing/scheduling needs of our assisted living community. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with team members, residents and families. This is a great opportunity to become a leader and mentor to your peers. This position will assist in rotating the on-call phone.Hours: 40 hours per week plus some overtime based on business need / 6:00 am ? 2:30 pm M-F/ Hours may vary including days, evenings and weekends.Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in maintaining staffing needs based on resident acuity
Maintain schedule for 80+ Resident Aides who provide daily cares to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and more
Help staff to understand and follow care protocols
Take On-call rotation / M-F every other week
Meet with new employees to go over training schedule
Qualifications and Skills
Outgoing, friendly personality. Staffers must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, and be team players with fellow staff.
NAR Certification. You must earn your NAR certification in order to perform the duties listed above. Candidate who already have this certification are preferred, but NRC can provide you with this training.
Past experience. 2 years of previous experience in a home care or long-term care setting is preferred. Past scheduling experience is desired.
Basic computer skills. Preferred candidates will have past experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry.
