Do you enjoy working with metal and creating a variety of specialty parts?IF SO, we currently have an exciting opportunity for the right Senior Machinist, to start almost immediately, on special projects and complex parts. The successful candidate will have exceptional knowledge of high precision machines and their capabilities.Responsibilities:-Plans, lays out work, sets up and operates all types of lathes, mills or grinders to machine or grind developmental, production or maintenance parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.-Expected to mentor junior machinists.-Performs other duties as assigned or required.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:

Experience in GibbsCAM, MasterCAM or Esprit.

Working knowledge of G-Code

Big lathe and 5-axis experience a big plus

Strong math skill/proficient in GD&T

Must be customer focused and possess:

-Ability to perform complex set-up and fabrication of machined parts with little or no direction;-In-depth knowledge of machining equipment including ability to use judgment and safe practices;-Ability to read, interpret and explain engineering drawings, sketches and verbal and written instructions;-Skills to maintain the flow of work within the unit using independent judgment in solving moderately to highly complex problems and recommend solutions.-Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate tactfully and effectively in a technical environment and basic computer skills.-The ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.Education:High SchoolExperience:10+ yearsQualifications:-Typically requires a High School Diploma, technical/trade school training or equivalent-10+ plus years related experience-Must be a US Citizen as defined by ITAR.Company offers a great benefit package and Pay is DOE!Apply online today at www.spherion.com/apply/75034 or contact us at 46-470-7300 for additional information.Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
