Market Health Analytic Consultant - Telecommute in Northeast Region

The Market Health Analytic Consultant provides analytical consultation for employer customers of UnitedHealth Group, ranging in size from 300 to 999 employees. The role is a support position for the Mid-Atlantic Healthplan account management team (NY, NJ, and CT).If you are located in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut area, you will have the flexibility to telecommute as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Analyzing and interpreting various forms of utilization and healthcare data to identify potential areas for medical cost improvements via available products, programs, and resources

Creating a clear, compelling assessment of root causes and actionable/non-actionable contributing factors

Participating in customer meetings as a subject matter expert to present findings and recommendations to customers

Quantifying value generated by historically implemented solutions.

Negotiating complex situations and sensitive situations with a win-win attitude

Communicates information openly and in an articulate and professional manner

Serves as a trusted advisor to internal and external customers on healthcare cost and quality topics

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with data analysis, interpretation, synthesis and presentation for conveying results and recommendations to internal/external customers

Strong computer skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong presentation skills

Knowledgeable of healthcare cost and quality topics

Knowledgeable and able to speak to emerging healthcare industry trends

Travel:

Travel will be required 25% of the time to go to customer sites primarily located in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
