Education: Must be either a graduate of an accredited school of

professional nursing with a current RN or LPN licensure in the State of

ArkansasTraining and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing

experience strongly preferred. Should have past experience working with

Medical Staff, Insurance Companies and Medicare/Medicaid. Must have

proficient oral and written communication skills.Job Knowledge Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of

nursing care including but not limited to administering prescribed

treatments, medications and diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care

using the problem list, collaborating with other health care providers

and providing education to patients and/or significant others.

Successful candidate must be able to communicate both verbally and in

written format, with the Medical Staff, review organizations,

administration, patients and families as well as others as needed. Must

be able to apply evidence based guideline recommendations to determine

appropriate acuity levels and recommended care to patient population.DESCRIPTION:This position will support the organization's mission, vision and

values. Candidate will apply knowledge of patient's age and cultural

diversity, along with their spiritual and emotional needs into the

provision of patient care. He/She contributes to the provision of

quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that

demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. He/She must have the

ability to work under pressure and in conditions of frequent

interruption. Must utilize considerable initiative and judgment while

performing duties in an area where procedures are standardized but

frequent independent decisions are required. Help maintain high quality

care with effective utilization of hospital facilities and services and

resources. Assist in the promotion and maintenance of high quality care

through review of clinical practices within the hospital based on

pre-established criteria. He/She will be assigned to a specific unit or

area and will perform thorough chart review and coordinate with

healthcare team members to monitor admissions and continued stay for

appropriateness and medical necessity. Interviewing patients and

families to identify discharge planning needs and patient/family

preferences and obtain or coordinate these services. This position

requires knowledge in the care of patients served as indicated: Infant

to adolescence is 0 to 17 years, Adult is 18 to 65 years, and Geriatric

is 65 years and above.
