UNITY of Greater New Orleans, a collaborative of 50 agencies providing housing and services to unhoused persons, seeks caring professional committed to social justice for the following position: Disability Benefits Specialist to assist unhoused people with mental and physical disabilities to qualify for disability benefits (SSI). Accompany street outreach team to meet clients on the street, work with clients to obtain documentation of disability and drive clients to appointments. Required: Experience working with people with mental or physical disabilities, excellent writing and analytical skills.
