Industry leading, securities trading firm has an immediate need for a Supply Chain Management expert who can hit the ground running to help us lead our ever-growing inventory planning process. While this role is based in New York, your work will support our global IT inventory. Our inventory planning process is currently a collective effort across several teams. As our firm continues to grow, we need a thought leader who can build upon the existing foundation and continuously iterate and improve upon our processes. The initial focus of this role will be to build out a forecasting model for our technology inventory. That inventory includes everything from the servers in our data centers to our networking and client-side equipment.
Responsibilities:- Help forecast equipment demand, incorporating organic growth, upcoming expansions, upgrades, and refreshes
- Monitor stock levels across our office locations, third-party warehouses, and vendor managed inventory locations
- Track manufacturer lead times, product life cycles, and components
- Establish minimum and maximum thresholds, reorder points, and safety stock thresholds
- Deploy and manage an inventory and planning system to centralize inventory data and generate replenishment quantities
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, with strong preference to those who have led a hands-on system implementation effort
- Experience working with one or more Inventory Management Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to see the larger picture of our IT supply chain and connect the dots to find the best solutions and anticipate future needs
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and can adapt easily to changing priorities
- Outgoing and innately inquisitive
- Reliable and flexible team player with a positive attitude
- Background within information technology strongly preferred
