We're looking for a UX Operations & Program Manager who wants to work on innovative products that will help people make life-changing decisions. You will focus on solutions that span the genetic testing process for internal users, patients, and providers. Utilize your technical and business skills to make meaningful impact in an industry that is desperate for innovation and change! The UX Operations and Program Manager will be responsible for overall program management of the UX function - helping build timelines and roadmaps for all UX deliverables across the entire portfolio of Myriad Products (Digital, Kits & Reports, Marketing). On the operations side, this person will run and set up research operations - sourcing tools for research projects, setting up scheduling systems, organizing research results. They will also set up design operations - managing vendors and contracts, setting up processes for designers to track and deliver work, building reports in Jira, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Develop a deep understanding of the internally built applications and provide data driven insights into those areas
  • Plan, organize and manage UX roadmap that span multiple teams including software engineers, clinical scientists, commercial stakeholders, and company leadership
  • Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for and all are aligned and focused on the critical path to success.
  • Act as liaison with Marketing for project work on new products, kits, reports, etc.
  • Gather and understand full design requirements, and work closely with designers to deliver on those requirements
  • Develop best practices to ensure that the scope, ROI, objectives and success metrics for programs are understood, measured and reported to leadership
  • Deliver outstanding results through constant cross-functional communication, conflict resolution and decision making
  • Evaluate proposed new systems for implementation, application integration, workflow automation, and performance optimization
  • Develop a teamwide view UX milestones, ways to track UX deliverables, and resourcing maps to support the overall team
  • Run process and meetings that accelerate, not hinder, team velocity
  • Be the liaison between the business and the design team to bring products through the full software development lifecycle; on-spec and on-time
  • Partner effectively with external and internal teams in translating end user requirements and system domain expertise into detailed design requirements
  • Run User Research Operations - processes for running research studies related to recruiting and compensating participants, legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., NDAs, consent, etc) are tracked, scheduling of research sessions, etc.
  • Lead the improving, documenting and creating of new processes (as needed) and sunsetting old processes (we've outgrown)
  • Be accountable for schedules and report progress regularly to all stakeholders while mitigating risks along the way
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of product and design requirement documents
  • Keep the focus on priorities while shielding the team from distractions and interferences
  • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management; manage UX tools, vendors and accounts (e.g., User Testing, Figma, Miro, etc)
  • Create a culture of "one-team" in a heavily distributed workforce
  • Be an advocate, but not zealot, for agile development best practices across the organization

ABOUT YOU
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with BS or MS or equivalent experience
  • Prior success as a technical program manager with a focus on sales, revenue and commercial business functions.
  • Understanding of UX design processes
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts and software licenses
  • Fluency with Jira, Confluence, and Project Management tools
  • Can effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all roles and levels of management
  • Able to use clear, simple language to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, never leaving issues unresolved
  • Well versed with agile or scrum concepts (sprints, backlog, burndown charts), with PMP and/or Certified Scrum Master certifications preferred
  • Strong problem solving and customer service skills
