Foster care provider for special needs Adult male (Cibolo)

Seeking a foster care provider to care for my twin brother in their home . He is a 57 special needs Adult male who had a R traumatic brain injury & 11 yrs old . He was hit by a car on his bike . Due to his brain injury he is paralyzed on his left side . At present he is in a wheel chair, due to some low back issues . He walked short distances prior w/ a quad cane.

I’m seeking a provider in the San Antonio area, ranch style home or bedroom downstairs Needs fair size bedroom and bathroom for bath bench or shower chair . Must have ample space for wheelchair entry and access. Prefer a couple or male since 200 lb make required assistance with transfers to bed , bathing . Prefer no young kids living @ house , minimal noise , Prior experience preferred .

He attends a day had every weekday 7:30-4

Not at present due to Covid 19. Uses via transport , if foster wishes.

He is a very sweet, caring guy. High functioning mentally , reads the paper, does math and learning on his iPad, loves sports, oldie movies and sitcoms on tv , music , going out to eat , visit his sister , call his friends / family . He is very thoughtful of others , kind and has no behavioral issues .

I’ve been his legal guardian for over 20 yrs yet ortho problems make it difficult for me to care for him myself . I’m very involved in his care and always available to help the foster any way I can . I coordinate w. Foster any time off they want or time I will take him for the holidays.

Call or text if interested , prefer experience with care giving. I will gladly explain the position further and the support company we are with that is given to the foster to assist in paperwork , pay , and furnishes his meds , supplies and any other items you may need . It is all tax exempt pay being non profit .

This is a excellent opportunity to supplement income at home especially for seniors on a fixed income .
