  • As a member of the Data Science & Analytics (DSA), Operations management team, you will lead junior and experienced analytic professionals in the design, development, and implementation of custom analytic solutions and deliverables for both external and internal customers. Responsibilities include independent execution of the full range of personnel-related functions (talent acquisition and pipeline management, training, development, goal setting, and performance management) and business functions (revenue planning, budgeting, capacity planning, resource allocation, project management, work measurement, and management reporting.
  • Bachelors degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science or another highly quantitative field. A track record of academic excellence.
  • Ten (10) or more years of professional experience performing analytic development work in Financial Services, consumer credit, or a related industry, at least two (2) in a successful team management and leadership role
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on expertise in leveraging data visualization, statistical inference, and other advanced analytical techniques in deriving insights from large datasets
  • Advanced programming skills; proficiency with R; experience using other programming and data manipulation languages (SQL, Python, C/C, Java, Scala, etc.)
  • Experience with modern "big data" frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Versatile interpersonal and communication style with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within and outside the organization
  • A champion of change, able to influence others to adopt new concepts and practices.
  • An effective time and project manager, able to balance a highly variable workload in a fast-paced environment
  • A critical thinker and creative problem solver
  • Availability to travel, potentially internationally (up to 10%)
What we'd prefer to see:
  • Masters degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science or another highly quantitative field. A track record of academic excellence.
  • Familiarity with credit bureau data and business practices in a highly regulated industry
  • Exposure to agile development methods
  • Familiarity with reproducible research and reporting tools (LaTeX, Markdown, etc.)
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Shiny and Tablaeu.

  • As a member of the Data Science & Analytics (DSA), Operations management team, you will lead junior and experienced analytic professionals in the design, development, and implementation of custom analytic solutions and deliverables for both external and internal customers.

  • Participate in the development of operating policies and procedures to promote operational excellence across DSA.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, department leaders, and other matrixed business partners such as legal, production fulfillment, etc.
  • Build and manage a team of highly competent analytic professionals; empowering a data-driven culture.
  • Contribute to new revenue growth and operational efficiency by continuously improving engagement models and workflows across DSA.
