Package/Freight Courier

Position Title: Package/Freight Courier

Duties: General duties may include but are not limited to:

1. Deliver/pick up FedEx Ground packages throughout the entire Fairbanks/North Star Borough as needed.

a. Load and unload your own vehicle.

b. Anticipate customer needs as well as recommend route improvements.

c. Provide customer service and problem-solving.

d. Report all vehicle maintenance issue to management to keep fleet vehicles in good working order.

e. This position is:

i. Fast paced and physically demanding.

Qualifications (Required):

1. Minimum Age- 21 years old

2. Possess a valid Derivers License (CDL not required) for the past 3 consecutive years.

3. Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

4. Pass a pre-employment motor vehicle/driver history check

5. Pass a pre-employment drug screen (includes marijuana- illegal under federal law, which Arctic Installers, Inc. must follow)

6. Be able to lift 75lbs on your own and up to 150lbs with assistance from another person or tools.

7. 1 years verifiable driving experience in the past 3 years.

a. Successfully complete a behind the wheel/over the road skills test.

8. If less than 1 years verifiable driving experience as stated above, applicants must be able to:

a. Complete 4-hour online drivers training module.

b. Successfully complete behind the wheel/over the road skills test.

c. Successfully complete 18 hours of behind the wheel/over the road training with a qualified Phillips Family Trucking Employee/Driver.

Qualifications (preferred):

1. Basic map reading Skills, basic knowledge of GPS or turn by turn navigation programs.

2. Basic computer knowledge.

3. Strong communication skills.

4. Organization and time management skills. Able to coordinate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
