Expeditor (Prince of Wales Island)

Drives a box truck, flat bed pickup or regular passenger vehicle to transport parts and supplies from vendors to our remote camp location. Travels highways as well as unpaved, narrow, winding, steep forest roads. Driver works independently to locate routes depending on the supply list that will be provided by management. Driver is also responsible for delivering mail and parts that need to be returned to vendors. The driver sits in a climate-controlled cab but must be out of the cab to conduct load securement, inspections and maintenance. Driver communicates with the other drivers and operators on the single-lane logging roads using citizens band (CB) radios. Driver may be responsible for truck basic service, refueling, diagnostics and minor repairs. Requires climbing off & onto the vehicle to load all the supplies purchased while on the town runs.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Driver’s License, clean driving history, drivers must have the capability to live at a remote location and work long hours three (3) to four (4) days a week.
