CARPENTERS NEEDED: HISTORIC RENOVATIONS

Scott Groves Construction LLC, a licensed and insured construction company, renovates and refurbishes historic homes in the downtown Wilmington Historic District and various other jobs in the area.

The company seeks skilled, experienced carpenters that can operate at a high level, that demonstrate a great variety of skills in home drenovation and construction, and can show leadership for team members with less experience. The role requires effective and frequent communication with the owner and the ability to be accountable for agreed upon procedures. Additionally, you must have reliable transportation to and from the construction sites in the Wilmington area, which are typically in the downtown historic district, and occasionally may be in other areas not far from Wilmington.

You must be accountable for your hours work and demonstrate the ability to work without a great deal of supervision. You will be working for and around high-end clients, and they will be watching what goes on around the job site - so you must to be accountable for your actions - no showing up late and cheating on hours - and no excessive phone use. The clients will notice.

This role will provide hourly pay in the range of $20-$30 per hour, depending upon experience, and is full time (40 hours per week). Pay is generated electronically via payroll service and direct-deposited on a weekly basis. Parties may agree upon a trial period that can be negotiated as the owner is willing to renegotiate higher pay based on demonstrated, excellent performance.
