Hi, Greetings from Conch Technologies Inc Position: System Engineer Location: Denver , Co ( Eaglewood ) ONSITE DAY 1 3-4 YEARS exp LOCAL ONLY From client notes manager Cisco UCS hardware, configurations, 'ucs director' software - expert level or very experienced / less desired alternative would be other similar server hardware vendor (IBM, HP, Dell, etc) VMware including VSAN - expert level or very experienced SAN/NAS storage appliances, Pure or NetApp preferred - expert level or very experienced REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with managers, employees, customers, vendors, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner Basic Knowledge of related industry specifications, standards, technologies, and protocols Basic Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols, and network topology Basic Knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model Basic Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations. Working Knowledge of network devices and network appliances Working knowledge of computer servers and various operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) Working knowledge of Virtualization and Hypervisors (VMware preferred) Working knowledge of productivity software, such as Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Knowledge and Experience in Linux systems administration, application, and OS tuning. Knowledge and Experience in Windows systems administration, application, and OS tuning. Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and ability to learn new technology quickly Ability to use personal computer and software applications Ability to communicate with all levels of management Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or commensurate work experience Related Work Experience Number Of Years Engineering work experience 3-5 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills /Abilities and Knowledge Knowledge of company products and services. Knowledge and Experience in Operating Systems, Virtualization, Storage, and related technologies. Knowledge and Experience in creating engineering documentation packages including Engineering Design Document, Data Flow Diagram, Call Flow Diagram, Implementation Guide, Operations Guide, Maintenance Guide, Method of Procedure, Technical Bulletin, Test Plan, and Test Results.
